Invaluable advice, shared in such a concise manner. I know this piece focuses on individuals but I think we should also talk about the part the PhD awarding institutions must play to support the future career of their students. I believe that PhD candidates must receive formal training in educational techniques, assessment and evaluation as an integral part of their PhD education.
