What is EATRIS?

We’re the European infrastructure for translational medicine (EATRIS). We bring together resources and services for research communities to translate scientific discoveries into benefits for patients. Our new tagline sums it up pretty well: "Science beyond barriers. Medicine beyond borders."

What does EATRIS do?

We provide access to pre-clinical and clinical expertise and facilities that are available from 144+ top academic centres across Europe.  We focus on improving and optimising the development of drugs, vaccines and diagnostics in the fields of advanced therapy medicinal products,  biomarkers, imaging and tracing, small molecules and vaccines.

How can EATRIS help me?

We offer services for both academia and industry across various research fields. In addition, we work with public funding agencies, charities and policy makers with tailored actions to help improve the translational research and innovation ecosystem.  We also provide regulatory services tailored to early development stage projects, training and mentoring among others.

What is the vision of EATRIS?

We want to make the translation of scientific discoveries into medical products more effective to improve human health and quality of life. Our strategic plan to achieve this vision is based around 6 core areas:
