With its overarching theme of “Discover, Create, Innovate”, the international Biomolecular Horizons 2024 Congress (BMH2024) will disseminate new developments in research and education to members of the academic, research and industry communities, and more generally to the public.
The event brings together three prestigious congresses:
- 26th Congress of the International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (IUBMB)
- 17th Congress of the Federation of Asian & Oceanian Biochemists & Molecular Biologists (FAOBMB)
- 22nd ComBio Conference (ComBio)
Among the plenary sessions, keynotes, symposia, and poster presentations, we’d like to highlight the visually delicious 'BIOMOLECULAR BAKE-OFF’, one of BMH2024’s competitions. This is a chance for researchers to get creative and turn their experimental skills to a baking challenge showcasing their scientific interests, humour and artistic skills.
Participants are invited to decorate their cake with their favourite molecules, cellular compartment or organism, and then post an image on social media using the hashtag #bakebmh2024 (or share it with the organizers). Images of the 'BIOMOLECULAR BAKE-OFF’ entries will be displayed during the Congress, with live voting and amazing prizes to be won.
We are delighted to showcase some of the early entries on this FEBS Network post. Keep an eye on BMH2024 social media accounts (X/Twitter, LinkedIn) to see more tasty entries and, if you are feeling creative, feel free to join the competition!
