This two-day training event is aimed at anyone teaching or supporting teaching in Higher Education, from early career researcher to established professors. It aims to share best practice and novel ideas with bioscience in HE educators, to equip students with the key skills needed to succeed in their careers and enhance their experience.

Abstract submission deadline: extended to 23 February 2018

Topics include:

- Evaluating teaching practice through pedagogical research

- Engaging students in undergraduate research projects

- Teaching and assessing large cohorts using interactive and engaging methods

- Teaching postgraduate and international students

FEBS Education Committee will be awarding 3 bursaries for young scientists to participate in this event.  Applicants should

  • come from outside the UK,
  • be no more than 5 years since their PhD,
  • have some teaching experience,
  • present a poster on education (abstract deadline is now 23rd February)

An update:

  • PhD students may also apply for a bursary.
  • The bursary will cover the registration, accommodation and travel
    expenses up to 600 Euros.
