Writing Contest: Celebrating Women in Science

FEBS Letters celebrated Women in Science Week 2025 with the announcement of a new writing contest. Researchers at any career stage and of any gender are invited to write about their female role models, including prominent scientists, mentors, and other women who have inspired them in their academic careers.
Entrants are welcome to reflect on the challenges of gender bias in academia and on the importance of female role models for all scientists—and here they may consult our Women in Science Collection for inspiration. However, we are particularly interested in learning about the remarkable women who, directly or indirectly, have helped shape your own journeys in science.
Full details about the contest can be found on the FEBS Letters website.
