About Michal Dvořák

Hi everyone!
Like all of you, I'm also a passionate scientist, most attracted by the mysteries of biochemistry. I study antimicrobial resistance, search for novel active compounds, and determine their mechanism of action within the cell. This makes me the so-called "enzymologist" of our predominantly microbiological group.

As a person, I'm more of an introvert and a bit melancholic. I've always loved gardening and plants in general (I used to have a collection of over 40 carnivorous plants!). Like most Czechs, I also love walking in forests (and looking for fungi! :D ). I play tennis at an intermediate level and World of Warcraft at a high-intermediate level.
