Olufunke is a researcher and a lecturer. Over the years, her area of research have covered topics on drug metabolism and toxicology biochemistry, nutritional biochemistry, endocrinology, cardiovascular research, Phytomedicine, neuroscience, and functional food research. Her main focus as a scientist is to contribute my quota with my in-depth knowledge in fundamental research into translational medicine. I am willing to collaborate and work with individuals or teams that have similar vision.

Guilherme G. Moreira is a PhD Student at Protein Misfolding and Amyloids in Biomedicine (PMAB) group (http://folding.fc.ul.pt) at Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon and affiliated to BioISI Biosystems & Integrative Sciences Institute. Born in 1995, has graduated in Biochemistry (2016) and completed his master's in Medical Biochemistry (2018) at the University of Lisbon. Guilherme started his PhD studies with an FCT PhD Studentship on the PMAB GomesLab (2021) with the project entitled The calcium-binding protein S100B as a novel chaperone preventing Tau aggregation in Alzheimer's disease. Guilherme is the first author of 3 published peer-reviewed international papers (2019, 2021 and 2023), co-author of 1 published book chapter (2020) and co-author of 2 published peer-reviewed international paper (2021 and 2022), as well as author of 19 posters and 5 oral communications presented in national and international events. Has been awarded 6 travel/accommodation and registration awards for international meetings. I am a Ph.D. student working on and fascinated by my favorite organelle in the cell- the peroxisome! During my research, I have been working on uncovering new peroxisomal proteins, and currently, I am studying their functions in this organelle and their roles in the cellular metabolism :)

I am presently a Senior Research Associate at the MRC Protein Phosphorylation and Ubiquitylation Unit, University of Dundee. I have been working with a fantastic team in Prof. Dario Alessi's lab with multicultural and highly motivated people. My main project focused on exploring the Rab GTPases interactors that are linked with Parkinson's disease. I took a mass spectrometry-based approach to explore further what is binding with LRRK2-mediated phosphorylated Rab proteins and how this leads to the disease.

I hold a BSc in Biochemistry and an MSc in Medical Biochemistry, followed by a PhD in Medical Biology and Genetics. My research focuses on tumor heterogeneity and drug resistance. I am currently an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Istinye University.
