Since 2021, FEBS Open Bio has published a series of highly successful "In the Limelight" issues containing multiple Review articles focused on an exciting and important topic. Previous topics  include bioplastics, membraneless organelles, and the structures of SARS-CoV-2 proteins, and in 2024, we will be putting mitochondria in the limelight.

Guest Editor Johannes Herrmann (University of Kaiserslautern, Germany) and other experts in the field will be contributing Review articles on key advances, and we would like to invite the community to submit their latest original research on mitochondrial biology for consideration of inclusion in the issue. These issues are always well-read, and so this is an excellent opportunity to get your work in the spotlight while supporting a scientific society.

The deadline for initial submission is 1st January 2024. Consult the journal Author Guidelines here and then submit your article when ready here. Please address any questions to [email protected] . We look forward to reading your manuscript!
