About Roger S. Smith

I am training to become a physician scientist at Northwestern University. I am completing my PhD thesis work in the lab of Marc Mendillo, PhD. I am passionate about discovering the mechanistic basis of human diseases for the development of novel therapeutic strategies.

I previously trained as a research technician under the mentorship of Romel Somwar, PhD in the lab of Marc Ladanyi, MD at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. During my undergraduate studies at the University of Notre Dame, I conducted research in the lab of Michael Ferdig, PhD.
