About Konstantin Yenkoyan
I am an accomplished physician-scientist, biochemist, Vice-Rector for Science, Head of Neuroscience Laboratory and Professor of Biochemistry at Yerevan State Medical University in Armenia. I direct a newly-established COBRAIN Neuroscience Center, the national neuroscience Hub in Armenia. Currently and in the past, I headed the EU-funded Horizon-2020 COBRAIN Program and several projects funded by the Ministry of Science of Armenia. My research focuses on neuroscience, molecular biology and neurochemistry of brain and neurological disorders with special focus on Alzheimer’s disease and Autism. In our research we use both rodent and zebrafish models, as well as run studies on humans. I have proven track record in innovative translational research, research management, biomedical teaching and academic leadership, and serve on Editorial boards of various esteemed biomedical journals.
