About Victoria Barygina

Hi all and welcome to my page! I was born in Moscow, Russia and graduated as a Physiologist (cell and tissue biologist) at Moscow State University M.V. Lomonosov in 2007 where I continued my scientific work as a Ph.D. student collaborating with the Institute of Biochemistry RAS (IBCH RAS, Moscow). I was studying the effect of oxidative stress induced by heavy metals on intracellular localisation of nuclear proteins. In 2010 I transferred to Italy and started a new Ph.D. at University of Florence. Here I continued to study oxidative stress in primary keratinocytes and fibroblasts obtained from the skin of patients affected by psoriasis and vitiligo. I finished my Ph.D. in 2013 and since that time work as a research fellow studying the redox signalling mediated by NADPH oxidases in physiologic and pathologic conditions.
