The first edition of School on "Chirality: from biology to pharmaceuticals and nanomaterials" will be held in the magnificent scenario of Lipari, in the Aeolian Islands from 28 July to 3 August 2024.
The School will be dedicated to the introduction (the origin of molecular and supramolecular chirality and their experimental determination) and in-depth analysis of both theoretical and experimental topics and is dedicated to both simple listeners and doctoral students. Therefore, the School plays the twofold role of congress and school: a place of meeting and discussion between different generations of researchers. The event will be characterized by a very informal and relaxing atmosphere with sessions in the morning and terrace/poolside discussions in the afternoon, plus two social tours to the Aeolian Islands (one tour includes social dinner + dancing).
The registration fee is €550 for registrations by March 15th, after this date the registration will be €600. Registrations are open till 30 June. The fee will cover teaching materials, bus from Catania airport to Milazzo + Milazzo-Lipari hydrofoil and (at the end of school) the return to Catania airport, social events and coffee breaks.
The school foresees the participation of both:
- Students: participants who should take afternoon courses and take a final exam (grades will be assigned following the ECTS grading scale). The course will involve a total of 24 hours of teaching. Passing the final exam gives the right to an equivalent of 6 ECTS credits in any doctorate plan.
- Auditors: participants who are not interested in taking the final exam.
Visit the Lipari School on Applications and Theory of Chirality website for more details. The headquarters of the School will be the Hotel Giardino sul mare.
See you in Lipari!
