The Federation of European Biochemical Societies (FEBS) warmly congratulates the Palladin Institute of Biochemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine on its 100th anniversary. This remarkable milestone celebrates a century of scientific excellence, discovery and commitment to training generations of researchers.

Founded in 1925, the Institute has played a key role in advancing biochemistry and related disciplines, contributing to areas ranging from molecular biology and immunology to biotechnology and medical research. Its scientists have also been an important part of the FEBS community, strengthening collaboration and scientific exchange across Europe.
This centenary takes place under particularly challenging circumstances for Ukraine. FEBS expresses its sincere solidarity with the Ukrainian scientific community, whose resilience and dedication continue to inspire the international research landscape.
As part of this commitment, FEBS has introduced Ukrainian Short-Term Fellowships, enabling researchers to continue their work in host laboratories across FEBS countries, maintain scientific progress and build new collaborations during this difficult period.
