The three-day event featured plenary and invited lectures, delivered in two parallel sessions.

Each day of the conference began with a distinguished plenary talk. Professor Virginijus Šikšnys presented the evolution and achievements of genome editing technologies; Professor Peter D. Nagy discussed the biogenesis mechanisms of the plant virus Tombusvirus; and Estonian geneticist Dr. Andres Metspalu shared insights into personalized medicine and the societal, scientific, and data-analytical benefits of biobank development.

The conference hosted 55 invited speakers, 13 selected oral presentations, and over 100 poster presentations, reflecting the broad thematic range of the life sciences.

During the event, Professor Benediktas Juodka was awarded the Honorary Medal of the Lithuanian Biochemical Society for his long-standing work at the Department of Biochemistry at Vilnius University and his significant contribution to mentoring a new generation of scientists.

Two poster prizes were also awarded: the FEBS Open Bio Poster Prize went to young researcher Sigrid Kirss for her presentation "α-Lipoic Acid as a Potential Copper Regulator in the Case of Alzheimer’s Disease," while the Future Biomedicine Fund recognized Dr. Marija Ger for the best presentation on personalized medicine, titled "Drug Repurposing for Pancreatic Cancer Treatment."

The conference was organized by a scientific committee representing four countries: Professor Saulius Serva (Chair of the Lithuanian Biochemical Society), Professor Kaspars Tars (Chair of the Latvian Biochemical Society), Dr. Ly Villo (Chair of the Estonian Biochemical Society), and Dr. Hannu Koistinen (Chair of the Finnish Biobio Society). The organizers extend their sincere gratitude to the main partners — the FEBS3+ Programme and the Future Biomedicine Fund — as well as to all sponsors and volunteers for their support in making this significant event possible.
