The second call for FEBS-supported Society Education Events, taking place between January and June 2026, is now open. The deadline for applications is 15 December 2025.

This scheme offers financial support for educational events organized by FEBS Constituent Societies, aiming to promote excellence and innovation in molecular life sciences education.

This year, FEBS particularly encourages proposals that address:

  • AI and Machine Learning in Molecular Life Sciences: Tools, Ethics, and Education

  • Skills for Industry 4.0: Preparing Life Science Students for the Biotech Revolution

However, proposals on other educational topics in the molecular life sciences are equally welcome.

Funding available

  • Up to €2,000 for in-person educational events

  • Up to €750 for online formats

Supported events may take various forms, including dedicated workshops or educational sessions at society congresses, and may focus on innovative teaching methods, professional skills development, or emerging topics in molecular life sciences education.

How to apply

To apply, please complete the application form available here and send it by 15 December 2025.

This funding opportunity is open to all members of FEBS Constituent Societies, and we particularly welcome innovative approaches to education and training that can benefit the wider molecular life sciences community.
