Career heterogeneity in the life sciences – A Biobio Junior Section event

Life is a beautifully complex subject to study and so are the career paths of people within the field, displaying equal diversity and showing that the seemingly simple and straightforward answers are often not the correct ones.
In the center of the discussion will be a dialogue between our panelists and the audience, mediated by the questions of the attending junior scientists, and moderated by Anja Hartewig, the current chair of the Biobio Junior Section.
In the first part, Emma Raitoharju, Academy Research Fellow at Tampere University, Suvi Haimi, Co-founder of Sulapac, Helena Lähdekorpi, Innovation Specialist at Tampere University, and Stina Roth, Medical Leader, Immunology at Novartis, will answer questions about their career paths.
To answer these questions, we will have a second panel with Irene Diaz-Moreno, Chair of the FEBS Career Young Scientists Committee and Professor at the University of Seville as well as Mario Brandenburg, Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister of Education and Research.
