FEBS Junior Section – Sofia Ahola, Vitória Baptista and Selin Tüzüner: UK funding opportunities after Brexit
On 13 March, the FEBS Junior Section organized an online career talk as part of their 2025 series of talks on key research and career topics of interest to students and young researchers in the molecular life sciences across Europe. This talk was jointly hosted by the FEBS Junior Section and the Biochemical Society’s ECR Biochemistry Focus webinar series, and was given by Dr Sofia Ahola (Assistant Professor, University of Birmingham), Dr Vitória Da Cunha Baptista (Research Associate, University of Glasgow) and Selin Tüzüner (DPhil Student, University of Oxford). The talk, titled "UK funding opportunities after Brexit: Experiences and practical guidance", provided insights from researchers from European countries who have applied for funding or secured research positions in the UK, sharing their experiences, challenges, and practical advice for early-career scientists.
The next event will be advertised on the FEBS Junior Section overview post.
