About Ralitsa Madsen
I obtained my PhD in Medical Science from the University of Cambridge in November 2018, as part of Prof Robert Semple's research group. Following a short postdoc in his group at the University of Edinburgh, I then joined UCL Cancer Institute as a Research Fellow in Prof Bart Vanhaesebroeck's group. My work is focussed on a systems-level understanding the mechanisms underlying human diseases of hyperactivated class IA PI3K signalling. My areas of expertise are: signal transduction, cell biology, CRISPR/Cas9, human pluripotent stem cells and high-throughput assays (e.g. RNAseq, proteomics) along with the accompanying computational analyses. Aside from experimental science, I am involved in promoting open research and scientific reproducibility through voluntary event organising and membership in open science networks.
