FEBS Long-Term Fellowships 2020: Apply by 1st October 2019
The importance of the postdoctoral experience in the development of a scientist's career is well known., which provide a stipend for one to three years, can assist the goals of researchers at this career stage in the areas of biochemistry and molecular biology by opening up the possibility to work in a host laboratory in a different country in the FEBS area for the purpose of scientific collaboration or advanced training. Moving to a new lab in a new country offers choice of where and with whom to pursue postdoctoral work, may heighten opportunities for acquiring technical expertise and new approaches to research, and allows researchers to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability for their future careers.
Applications are currently open for FEBS Long-Term Fellowships to start in 2020, via the online application system: fellowships.febs.org/lt_2019. The application deadline is October 1st, 2019. FEBS Fellows are selected through a competitive process by the FEBS Fellowships Committee.
Applicants must have a PhD and should normally be scientists with no more than three years of post-doctoral experience. In order to be eligible to apply for a Long-Term Fellowship, applicants need to be members of a FEBS Constituent Society, to be working in a laboratory in a FEBS country and to be seeking to work in a laboratory in a different FEBS country.
