Dr. Guerri has been and still is a member of the editorial committee of many journals in her area of expertise, and a member of the FEBS Publications Committee. She has been chairman of the editorial committee of ISBRA (International Society for Biomedical Research on Alcoholism, 2006-2010).

The research carried out by the group she leads focuses on the study of the molecular mechanisms of the effects of alcohol during the development and maturation of the brain and its long-term consequences, as well as the mechanisms by which alcohol abuse causes neuroinflammation and neurodegeneration. The aim is also to develop therapies that can alleviate the irreversible damage caused by alcohol.

We congratulate Dr. Consuelo Guerri and the SEBBM.
