Call for 2023 FEBS Advanced Courses proposals
Like

With face-to-face scientific meetings back on the agenda after the pandemic, we expect to see increased demand from young scientists to acquire advanced knowledge in this way from research leaders in biochemistry, molecular biology and related disciplines in the coming year. The FEBS Advanced Courses Committee is thus looking  forward to receiving proposals from expert scientists interested in organizing an event with financial support from FEBS as part of the 2023 FEBS Advanced Courses programme. The upcoming funding applications deadline is 1 September 2022

FEBS Advanced Courses take place throughout the area of Europe and neighbouring regions on important and timely topics in the molecular life sciences – in the form of Advanced Lecture Courses, Workshops, Practical Courses, combined Practical and Lecture Courses, and Special Meetings. Most Advanced Courses in 2023 can be funded by FEBS with up to €35,000 (up to €25,000  course grant + up to €10,000 for Youth Travel Fund (YTF) grants to assist participation of young researchers); for Special Meetings the funding is €40,000  course grant + up to €15,000 for YTF grants. Arranging such an event provides organizers with great opportunities for outreach, networking and impact in their chosen field.

Guidelines for prospective organizers can be found at www.febs.org/our-activities/advanced-courses/guidelines/ including a downloadable pdf for detailed information.

For queries, do not hesitate to contact the Advanced Courses Committee Chair, Prof. Beáta Vértessy, via [email protected], who will be happy to answer any questions.
