The FEBS Network aims to provide a valuable online international forum for scientists working in the molecular and cellular life sciences, enabling them to share advice, news and insights, and connect and collaborate – with the ultimate goal of helping to advance progress in these research areas.

One feature of the FEBS Network is the potential to provide focused online forums for scientists interested in particular research topics or techniques in the molecular life sciences. These research forums can be offered as curated 'Research Division Rooms', each providing a shared space for expert-led comment, insight and discussion on a specific research area, and connections between scientists working to understand similar research questions. Rooms can be open or closed, can host content as posts, videos or pdfs, can display directories of members and contributors, and offer a ‘Conversations’ feature. Other aspects of the FEBS Network such as video panels, opting in for alerts, commenting and ‘following’ can also be utilised.

The FEBS Network Working Group invites proposals from researchers to establish and run such a Research Division Room as the ‘curator’. The proposer should be a member of a FEBS Constituent Society or a FEBS Advanced Course organizer. Curators will be responsible for recruiting experts for their room, encouraging posting and interaction from experts, overseeing content standards, and also creating content and engaging with room members.
