What are video panels?

Video panels are recordable video calls (a bit like Skype) that have three main uses:

  • To chat with one or more users of the FEBS Network, for example with a mentor or collaborators

  • To record a video of you talking on a subject of interest to others on the FEBS Network, such as a techniques tip, teaching method or research update, and then to publish it to the network

  • To record a video of a discussion with up to 10 participants on a relevant subject and publish it to the network

They therefore help you to communicate and collaborate with fellow FEBS Network users, to share your expertise and to raise your profile.

What’s more, they are quick and easy to use. You can:

  • Use them without installing special software (as long as you have a webcam, internet access and use Chrome or Firefox as your browser, you are all set)

  • Start and stop recording whenever you like (or not record at all)

  • Create multiple videos from one ‘panel’

  • Invite any user of the FEBS Network with the ability to take part in a panel to participate
