Upcoming FEBS Open Bio Webinar: Tumor-Stroma Interactions: A Roundtable Discussion

Register now for our upcoming free FEBS Open Bio webinar, which will be held on Zoom on 10th February 2026 at 16:00 CET (15:00 GMT). Professor Isabel Fabregat Romero and panelists will explore exciting findings in the topic of tumor-stroma interaction research.

To accompany our recent special issue on Tumor-Stroma Interactions, FEBS Open Bio is holding a free webinar entitled "Tumor-Stroma Interactions: A Roundtable Discussion" on 10th February at 16:00 CET (15:00 GMT) for 45 minutes. Professor Isabel Fabregat Romero (TGF-β and Cancer Group, Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBELL) and CIBEREHD, L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Barcelona) and contributing authors will explore how the tumor microenvironment and associated stromal components influence tumor growth, metastasis, and response to treatment.

By examining the dynamic crosstalk that occurs between tumor cells and their surrounding stroma, the panel will highlight the importance of considering tumors as part of complex and evolving systems.

Panelists will include:

  • Prof Isabel Fabregat Romero (TGF-β and Cancer Group, Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBELL) and CIBEREHD, L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Barcelona)
  • Prof Alessandra Cambi (Radboud University)
  • Prof Umber Cheema (University College London)
  • Prof Jordi Alcaraz (University of Barcelona)

We invite you to attend what promises to be a highly insightful webinar. Questions can be asked during the webinar, and we also invite attendees to send questions to the speakers in advance by emailing us at openbio@febs.org
