Participants are asked to share their perspectives on the importance of a recent scientific or technological discovery outside the field of cancer biology and elaborate on how it has already impacted or has the potential to advance cancer research, therapy, care, or prevention.
Artificial intelligence and data sciences transform translational and clinical cancer research, COVID-19 pandemic and associated research has affected cancer research and cancer care, and social and legal advances may help transform clinical trial design, those being only a few examples of how transdisciplinary research is the landmark of our era. We are, thus, open to your opinions, insights, and forecasts on the beneficial exchange and crosstalk between recent advances in other STEM or social science fields and cancer research.
We invite researchers of all levels to contribute a piece of up to 800 words on their perspective.

Submit to: molonc@febs.org under the subject ‘2023 Writing competition’. Please include a short description of your current research position and mention your affiliation in your submission.
